On our climbing weekend April 28th through 30th, Scouts from Troop 34 along with some members of Troop 468 and leaders did a climbing weekend campout at Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI. A misty rain during Friday night was gone Saturday morning as a few got up at 4 am to hit the rock by sunrise to set up the climbs we planned for the day. The day was cloudy, cool and breezy, but the rain held off until late afternoon -- giving us time to climb and rappel and then break down the safety anchors, pack our gear, and get back to camp before the real rain started. The rain continued through the night, while we broke camp, and until we were nearly home in Illinois.
