Patrol meeting for sled assembly at Mr. Jackson's

The camp roads had not been plowed and no vehicles were allowed beyond the parking lot .

With the heavy snow, we dropped the dining fly at an angle. Good thing – it snowed all night.

Snow is a great insulator. With it piled up around the tents, we were toasty in the night even though it got down below 20 degrees.

Morning snow on our sleds next to our Adirondack shelter

Mr. Malzahn came in the morning with the Troop 401 trailer – about the only other one there – but they decided not to stay.

Chris Zarada, our Northwoods District Executive, found his car in the morning after spending Friday night with us in our Adirondack.

Saturday lunch – good stuff and plenty of it.

Steamy soup !

Plenty of snow for building – but really feathery dry and light.

The snow stopped and the sun actually came out after we had committed to go home.

Experienced winter campers. Next time we’ll stay for the Frostfire Award.
